Michael's Wood's is owned and operated by local handyman, Michael Kubiak. He has been servicing southeast Michigan for the past 30 + years with custom carpentry, sawmill service and lumber, whimsical, fine & rustic furniture and just about anything else that has to do with wood.

As one of my favorite tool in my shop is my lathe. I'm always ready to turn some wood on one of my lathes, into something beautiful.
Wolcott Mill Metro Park Water Wheel, I built this wheel in 1991. The gear of this side turned a shaft (just out of site) which ran a series of wide belt drive antique flour mills. White Oak & Cypress.
I finaly got around to finding enough time to fulfill a promise to my wife, and built her this sewing chest. It is made of Cherry, Birdseye Maple, Curly Maple, Beech, & Black Walnut. It has an air assisted lift for the sewing machine!
